Cat Heating Pad Are The Beads That Are In A Petstages Cat Heating Pad Safe For Use With My Rats?

Are the beads that are in a petstages cat heating pad safe for use with my rats? - cat heating pad

I use them in their cage to help the heat on cold days. Just wondering if anyone uses these rats. My baby, all the chewing and my concern is that can be toxic to the balls inside them? Anyone who has experience with these?

It's something I have not tried it yet, but I'm planning. Find an old pair of jeans in a square, cut a pillow. Fill the inside with rice instead of fluff. Then in the winter, you can throw in the microwave for a few minutes to warm in summer, can be stored in the freezer so the cold. Just throw it into the cage and stick to it if it hot or cold. I will try to very quickly. Good luck.

Hello!

I seriously do not recommend - like those who responded have said before me, rats chewing and destroying everything in its path, and certainly they have eaten their heating bills.

I had the same problem, since I too live in the United Kingdom and is currently in winter, and my room, on average around -1 ยบ C every day! Bloomin cold here in a minute. So we actually have a hose, I stayed at the top of his cage of three layers made of wool fleece and filled with tissue. They made a nest and keep warm and toast all day. I closed my blinds and the temperature warmed up a little and a small heater in my room for an hour after I wake up (for me it's supervision) in the room a little heat.

Good luck!

Hey --
Normally it should, if the products are not designated for rodents, they were not. Why? Since most animals do not chew. My daughter, rats destroy clothing, toilet paper, etc. =).
There are two things you can do to make your rats warm during cold nights.
1. A lot of newspapers and old clothes, t-shirts work very well.
2. Take a heating pad. Someone said why, but here is a link to the form.

Good luck with your rats and their friends.

Play it safe number. You do not need a heating pad. If you want to stay warm cuddle them in. Only an old towel or shirt

PS. I tried the suggestion of J. Stacy I thought it was a great idea at first too. However, eating rat holes in minutes and get rice everywhere. And since it can not be fully realized for rice to be washed. Make one of them is really a big waste of time.

I did it once ... Bad choice. My rats chewing smitherines and became ill. Remy was recovered, but still. It would be best if kept warm towel, cloth, paper or rattie others).
